Eco Film™ Eco Film™ is a high performance, completely biodegradable and compostable film and/or bag with unparalleled performance characteristics. Developed with the entire lifecycle of the product in mind, Eco Film combines the performance demanded by customers while in use and convert effortlessly into carbon dioxide and water within weeks of disposal.
Specifications:
The advantages of Eco Film® extend beyond the environmental factors. By switching to Eco Film®, companies and communities can actually improve their bottom line by eliminating additional labor, disposal fees and tariffs associated with polyethylene trash bags or packaging materials. Eco Film® will not decrease the value of compost by contamination. In fact, Eco Film® degrades 100% into carbon dioxide and water within weeks of composting, leaving no residue or harmful contaminants in the soil. Eco Film® has been specifically designed to have excellent moisture and heat resistance making Eco Film® ideally suited for uses ranging from large-scale agricultural applications to single-family yard compost projects. Additionally, Eco Film® has physical strength characteristics superior to LDPE (low density polyethylene) allowing Eco Film® to be substituted anywhere polyethylene or similar starch based resin is currently being used.
This non-toxic, certified biodegradable bag is stronger than standard trash bags and will turn into carbon dioxide and water within weeks of commercial composting. Additionally, Eco Film™ bags will not break apart while waiting for pickup like other blended bags. Unlike conventional non-degradable packaging, the new bio-film provides a natural disposable method of packaging that will not contaminate natural ecosystems and naturally degrades in outdoor, landfill and compost conditions into harmless carbon and water molecules. Eco Film is available in 3 stock sizes, based on the most common container/bin sizes used in organics diversion programs. Eco Film is also available in custom sizes, thicknesses and forms—essentially any form available in polyethylene is likely available in Eco Film. Eco Film can be custom printed and can be produced as standard translucent, white opaque and black opaque.
Eco Film Cryogenic Eco Film™ Cryogenic has the same properties as Eco Film™ and is soft and elastic. Eco Film™ Cryogenic is specifically designed to meet the rigor of extremely cold temperatures, as are found in some industrial applications and frozen food packaging. Unlike many non-degradable films, Eco Film™ does not become as brittle as many other films. Eco Film™ Cryogenic is certified compostable per ASTM D 6400 and is listed on BPI and Din Certco’s approved products. Eco Film™ Cryogenic is available in custom sizes, thicknesses and forms. Custom printing is also available. Film can be produced as standard translucent, white opaque or black opaque.
Eco Works
Eco Works® is a family of formulations that are designed to combine certified compostability per ASTM D 6400, with a high biobased content. Biobased content currently ranges from 5% to 70% of the total formulation. As biobased content increases, so does the rigidity of the film. Eco Works® ranges from elastic to highly rigid and is ideally suited to replace non-degradable films such as LDPE, HDPE and BOPP. All Eco Works® formulations are certified compostable and are listed on both BPI and Din Certco’s approved products. Eco Works® can be customized to your precise needs, including rigidity, thickness, form, print, tint, barrier properties and strength.
Eco Wrap
Eco Wrap™ is designed to replace non-degradable or oxodegradable stretch film and is ideally suited for agricultural shipments. Eco Wrap™ is a blend of certified compostable, highly elastic film and a proprietary cling coating. The unique combination allows Eco Wrap™ to have improved strength at a reduced thickness and fewer total wraps, when compared to non-degradable stretch film. Eco Wrap™ is currently awaiting listing on Din Certco and BPI, but the base film is already certified compostable per ASTM D 6400 and listed on both Din Certco and BPI’s approved products lists. Eco Wrap is available as standard 30" (76.2 cm) and 20” (50.8 cm) wide film in 100 gauge (25 micron) thickness. Eco Wrap is also available in custom width, length and core size.
