Food Grade Desiccant

Desiccant packets are small sachets of desiccant clay, silica gel, molecular sieve or other adsorbent products, aimed at protecting goods from moisture, odors and other harmful elements. Desiccant packets are available in singles, or in reels designed for automatic insertion. The are packaged in either DuPont Tyvek® or GDT-II materials. Both are strong, durable and allow for extremely high absorption rates. Both also comply with FDA requirements for direct contact with food and drugs.

Texas Technologies offers a wide range of desiccants for use with food packaging and preservation.

Desiccant packets are available in a variety of sizes, ranging from ¼ to 10 grams.

Bags are available in sizes ranging from 1/6 unit to 80 units (5 ½ grams to 2,640 grams).

Determining Quantity Required

If the container you need to protect has a volume of less than 950cc, reference our Gram-sized Desiccant requirement chart.
