3M™ 746 Wrist Strap Tester

The 3M 746 Wrist Strap Tester can be used to test wrist straps in a variety of situations, from daily testing in a production facility to periodic testing at remote sites or field service locations. This versatility allows the Wrist Strap Tester 746 to be standard for all applications in your company.

The tester is supplied with an AC adapter, but it also contains a long-life lithium battery as back-up power for portable applications or during power failures. (A "battery" light notifies the user when the battery needs replacement).

As with other 3M wrist strap testers, the unit is easy to use. It can test the entire wrist strap system while it is being worn, or it can test the individual components to isolate a fault condition.

3M™ 740 Wall Mount Wrist Strap/Footwear Tester
(Footwear Tester requires 741 Foot Plate)

The 3M 740 Wrist Strap and Footwear tester is an AC- powered unit designed to be wall-mounted in a production facility for daily testing of employees' static control wrist straps. Use of the optional Shoe Electrode attachment #741 allows the tester to be used as a footwear tester as well. This electrode, constructed of rugged stainless steel in a molded plastic base, must be ordered separately.

Simple to operate, the unit has several useful features and options. Red and Green LEDs give a clear "go" or "no go" indication. The user can select any of four different resistance levels, making the tester a versatile instrument to meet varying industry, corporate and global standards.

3M™ 741 Foot Plate - Shoe Electrode for use with 740 (above)

Use of the optional 3M™ Shoe Electrode 741 attachment allows the 740 tester to be used as a footwear tester as well. The optional Shoe Electrode 741 is a test plate that connects to the Wrist Strap and Footwear Tester 740.

By standing on the 741, personnel can use the 740 to check the operation of static control footwear, heel straps and the like. This electrode, constructed of rugged stainless steel in a molded plastic base, must be ordered separately.

This combination tester will check wrist straps, heel grounders and ESD Shoes. Designed for manufacturing areas, this tester is self-supporting, standalone, and portable. Stainless steel base and test button for durability. The solid metal stand pole bolts to the base for strength. An included AC adapter or 9-volt battery provides power. The tester indicates good resistance, high resistance and low resistance. Meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 ESD Control Program Requirements.
