Why Use It: Container Dri

Do you ship via sea, rail, or truck? No one wants mold, corrosion, mildew, spoilage, warping, or other harmful effects of moisture to damage your products during shipping. Learn more on why Container Dri is highly encouraged if you ship cargo.

What is it?

Container Dri is a cargo desiccant that aims at protecting cargo during shipping by aggressively absorbing moisture from the air. In doing so, Container Dri reduces the dew point temperature (the temperature at which condensation begins to form, causing “container rain”), keeping cargo safe and dry.

Why use it?

As packages move through their route, they are susceptible to damage from excessive moisture. Container Dri adds a level of protection by the reducing dew point.

Container Dri absorbs up to three times its weight in moisture, and has the ability to protect shipments from start to finish, through all temperature ranges and relative humidity variances.

Key Points

  • Protects cargo during intermodal shipping from damaging effects of moisture.
  • Controls dew-point, avoiding “container rain.”

Whether shipping by sea, rail or truck, moisture and condensation can damage products while en route to their destinations. Container Dri absorbs approximately 2400 grams of moisture per bag, reducing the dew point temperature, helping to keep the cargo dry and safe. The product is ready-to-use, making installation quick and easy in a variety of shipping containers.
